Please phone the surgery to book an appointment for the treatment room for any of the following:
- Dressings
- Glucose tolerance tests
- Injections
- Removal of stitches
Ear syringing and blood tests will only be carried out in the Treatment Room by referral from a doctor.
Routine blood testing and blood pressure checks will no longer be carried out in the Treatment Room.
The Anticoagulant Clinic is at Handforth Clinic (next door). It is a drop in clinic open to all patients in the Handforth area(no appointment necessary), every Wednesday from 10am to 12 noon. Fingerprick blood test, instant result, book dosed and returned in the one visit. For further information Telephone: 01625 661836. Due to this new service the Practice no longer offers INR blood tests.
Advice on minor ailments is available from your local pharmacy.
Facilities for treating injuries are limited - you may be asked to attend the Accident & Emergency department at the hospital.

Family Planning
A comprehensive service is provided, including the pill, coil and cap fitting. Initial discussion with the Doctor
Ante-Natal Care
Once you know you are pregnant, you may book directly with the Midwife in our Antenatal Clinic
Baby Immunisations and Child Development Clinic
Run by the Health Visitors and our Nurses..... You will receive an appointment card through the post. (6 week mother and baby checks with Dr Newhouse)
Smear Clinic
All women aged between 25 and 65 will receive smear reminders through the post (age 25-49 every 3 yrs, age 50-65 every 5 yrs). Results will be received directly from the Health Agency.
Flu and Pneumonia Vaccinations
These are offered annually to over 65s and those in certain risk groups.
Travel Immunisation
A travel clinic is run by one of our Practice Nurses. We are now an authorised Yellow Fever Centre.
Diabetes Clinic
Run weekly by a Senior Nurse.
Hypertension Clinic
Run weekly by one of the Practice Nurses (by referral from a Doctor)
Asthma Clinic
Run weekly by one of our Practice Nurses (by referral from a Doctor)
New Patient Health Check
All newly registered patients aged 5 and over will be offered a New Patient Health Check
Physiotherapy Clinic
By referral from a Doctor
Dietitian
Advice or all aspects of diet (by referral from a Doctor)
