Patient Group Information Morning Tuesday 4th June

The Handforth PPG has been active for almost 7 years now. We are a group of patients who meet 4-5 times a year with the Partners and staff. The PPG’s objective is to represent the interests of the 9,800 strong patient population. Its members are consulted by the Partners on practice policy matters which might affect their care. They are able to influence decisions and have instigated several changes, such as the introduction of online prescriptions, online appointment booking, changes in surgery opening hours and many other items at a local practice level.

On Tuesday June 4th, the Handforth PPG will be holding an information morning for patients registered at Handforth Health Centre. An information desk will be situated in the entrance hall at the surgery. Please come along and meet us!

APPOINTMENT REMINDERS BY TEXT

Please give your mobile number to Reception so that we can send you appointment reminders by text. This will also help us to reduce the huge number of appointments which are wasted each month by patients failing to attend.

ONLINE SERVICES

You can book appointments and order repeat prescriptions over the internet. To register, simply take any form of photo ID to Reception.

TELEPHONE CONSULTATIONS

Did you know you can book a telephone consultation with the doctor, instead of coming in to see him/her at the Surgery? Please ask at Reception.

YOUR DOCTOR OF CHOICE

To see the doctor of your choice, please book ahead. Remember that our doctors' surgery times are limited for many different reasons.....For example, they might be a part-time Doctor, running Minor Operations Clinics, running Diabetes Clinics, attending a training course, attending a meeting, visiting a Nursing Home, etc.

EARLY MORNING, LATE EVENING AND SATURDAY APPOINTMENTS

We offer early morning (7-8 am) and late evening (6.30-8 pm) appointments every Wednesday. We also offer some Saturday morning appointments. These appointments can be booked using our online service or over the phone.

Saturday surgery dates : 1 June, 22 June, 13 July, 17 August, 14 September.
