HOW TO GET YOUR NHS COVID-19 PASS

There are several ways to obtain proof of your Covid vaccinations as follows:

Download the NHS app:

You can download your pass and QR code via this app. You can also view your pass within the app, have it emailed to you or print it off. When the pass is generated, it lasts for 1 month. After this you will then need to request a new one via the app. Please click here for further information.

Please note that you cannot view a barcode in the NHS app for somebody you have proxy access for. To get their Covid pass please follow one of the steps below.

Request an NHS Covid Pass letter online:

You can request a letter to be sent to you, usually within 5 working days, which will be sent to the address which you have registered with your GP surgery. These letters can also be sent as an audio version, braille version and large print version. The letter will contain a unique reference number and information about your vaccines. This paper version does not have an expiry date. Please click here to request your letter.

Request an NHS Covid Pass letter by telephone:

To request your NHS Covid Pass letter via telephone, please call 119.

Print your vaccination history from Patient Access:

You can view and export your vaccination history from Patient Access. Although this is not an official NHS Covid Pass document, it does provide you with evidence of your vaccination history and the print out will include yout name, date of birth and NHS number. To print this document, please follow these steps:

  • Log into Patient Access and view the Medical Record section
  • Press ‘export record’ and select ‘immunisations’
  • Choose a format and export – the document will then begin to download
  • Once the download is complete you can save and print

COVID BOOSTER VACCINATION NEWS

• Anyone who received a COVID-19 vaccination before mid-April 2021 will soon be invited by the NHS to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccination.
• Across Cheshire, booster vaccinations will be delivered at 33 vaccination centres in the coming weeks and months – a mixture of GP and Pharmacy-led sites.
• The NHS will let eligible people know when it is their turn and which local sites are available for them to attend. There is no need to contact your GP practice to arrange this.
• Please be aware that you may be invited to a different vaccination centre this time around and, in some cases, a flu jab may be offered at the same time as the COVID-19 booster vaccination.
• Bookable COVID-19 booster appointments are available online now via the National Booking System or by calling 119. In line with national guidance, there must be at least a six-month gap between the completion of your primary course and your booster vaccination.
• More information about Cheshire’s COVID-19 Vaccination Programme – including booster vaccination eligibility – is available here [Not Working]

MISSING COVID-19 VACCINATION RECORDS

Vaccine information is not showing in Patient Access or the NHS App

A patient’s Covid-19 vaccination data will only show in Patient Access or the NHS App if the vaccines have been officially recorded in the NIMS database by the vaccine provider. In a small number of cases, there have been issues in the recording of this information. If this has happened to you, and your vaccine was given by Handforth Health Centre, please contact us via Klinik and we can update your records accordingly. If your vaccine was administered elsewhere e.g. a mass vaccination site, a pharmacy etc. you will need to contact them direct to ask them to update your records. We can only update records for vaccines given by our practice.

Vaccines given overseas or outside of their registered nation

At present, we are unable to add vaccine information to the NIMS database for any vaccines administered overseas. We can update your records held at the Practice but unfortunately this information will not flow through to your NHS app. We will update this page as soon as any further information is available.
